In our series which examines the groups of people following the progress of eCash, eCash News Today puts its gaze on the Turkish eCash group, one of the more well-followed alternative eCash groups in the ecosystem. Güven, one of the founders of the group, chatted with eCash News Today to explain how the eCash Turkish group was created, and why the group has so much confidence in what eCash can achieve in the future.
The Turkish eCash group resulted from an amalgamation of talents in which many Turks found themselves in the official eCash Telegram channel but had little knowledge of English. This made them want to find a resource for Turkish users, to teach them about the benefits of eCash and its functions, and how they will benefit from using it in the future.
According to Güven, who helped create the group, this language division made creating the group an easy task and divided the responsibility of functions to be more efficient when maintaining it. Güven stated:
“Yusuf and Birol ensure the discipline of the group. Güven is responsible for Social Media. Taner is the youngest among us and motivates and entertains our young friends in the group. Mine creates charts and gives information about the Stock Exchange. Ekin provides connections with Amaury's team and negotiates with other crypto groups in the market to provide collective organizations.”
COVID-19 Led People to eCash
While dealing with the lockdowns from the COVID-19 pandemic Turks were in need of additional income. This is where Güven personally reencountered cryptocurrency and started studying the fundamentals behind it, not before losing money in the process. This development took him to eCash. He remembers:
“I attended seminars organized by investment professionals to better understand why I was losing money. I learned a lot there. Then, with what I learned, I first read and understood Bitcoin. Then I started reading the story of bitcoin forks. I noticed that Bitcoin Cash was developed by Amaury Séchet, who I consider a genius.”
After this, he found XEC at a local exchange. When reading about the project, he found this cryptocurrency was also being helmed by Séchet, which gave him the confidence to invest in it, putting skin in the game. This drew him to the project and made him join the other participants to create the group for promoting eCash and its traits to more fellow Turks.
The Turkish eCash Telegram Group
What started as a three-man endeavor is now a very active eCash focused group that has passed the 1,700 member mark, and it keeps growing every week. Güven characterizes the group as follows:
“The aim of the group is to provide accurate and up-to-date news to those who want to learn about XEC and to enable eCash owners to meet and establish friendships with each other all over Turkey through social networks. Turkish culture and values are our most important rule. Those who use bad words and slang words are banned from the group. Respect for women is at the forefront.”
The group also engages in making eCash known in other groups and social media, educating people in the process. Güven concluded:
“eCash will bring financial freedom to the whole world, and especially to Turkey. This time make sure you catch that train before it escapes.”
